Rev. Robert Chenault

Pastor Bob Chenault and his wife, Cathy, have lived in Spokane since 1997, when they moved here from eastern Montana to serve at Messiah Lutheran Church. Chenault has an undergraduate degree in religion as well as three seminary degrees, most recently from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has been an ordained Lutheran pastor for 27 years, serving calls in Montana and in Spokane. He has also been an interim pastor at four congregations. He and Cathy have five children and five grandsons. In retirement he enjoys home remodeling projects, camping in his travel trailer, and singing with two choirs, the Melody Singers, and the St. Luke Adult Choir. Chenault’s favorite theologian, besides Martin Luther, is Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was martyred by the Nazis in 1945.
